Seeds

The Seeds business is committed to provide seeds of the future by developing climate resilient varieties like the MPR 606. It is a short-duration rice variety with a maturity period of 105 to 110 days, which allows for faster harvests and the opportunity for double cropping. Its medium-slender, fine grain type offers high yield potential in the fine segment, maximising land productivity while ensuring excellent cooking quality. By requiring 1 to 2 fewer irrigation cycles compared to traditional varieties, MPR 606 conserves water resources and reduces the overall environmental impact of rice cultivation. This efficiency not only supports regenerative farming practices but also helps vulnerable farmers adapt to climate change.

Crop Care

With a high yield of 95% marketable grade potatoes and robust resistance to diseases like powdery and common scab, it minimises the need for chemical inputs. Additionally, its bright, shining skin not only enhances market value for farmers but also encourages regenerative farming practices through improved profitability.

Fruits

The Fruits Business supports sustainability by educating growers on advanced practices that enhance fruit quality and conserve resources. It promotes efficient water usage through soil sensors and nutrients management to improve shelf life while reducing chemical inputs. By implementing disease and pest management techniques, including weather forecasting, it minimises pesticide reliance. Additionally, its promotion of protected cultivation helps growers adapt to climate change, ensuring consistent quality production. The business has received various global cerifications like Rainforest Alliance, GLOBAL G.A.P, SEDEX SMETA, GRASP etc.
